Dear Prospective Student:
Why the 36 week grooming course instead of a four-month course?
Ask your Veterinarian or pet groomer, whom they would rather hire after
completing which of the two courses?
Our successful students are in high demand. Our students are ready to manage a
shop for a groomer or a veterinarian, who are in need of a groomer that
understands the business side of grooming.
As well as the actual grooming, animal behaviour and related business practices.
Even if you do not complete all three levels, opportunities for employment are
still available after completing level I - kennel operation.
Our complete one-year course offers the inside understanding of operating and
managing a grooming business in the environments of an independent grooming
salon, pet stores and vet. clinics, as well as boarding and dog walking
establishments.
We are the only Registered Grooming course through the Ontario Private Career
Colleges Act.
We have a list of jobs waiting to be filled in the Toronto, Welland, Windsor and
Burlington areas. In addition, jobs are still being added on a daily basis.
The Grooming profession although physically demanding is both rewarding and very
satisfying. Groomers cannot be replaced by computers and can work virtually
anywhere in the world.
Barbara Hodgkinson will be your full-time instructor, along with several
assistant instructors who specialize in their fields.
Barbara Hodgkinson has been a fill-time teacher for over 25 years for both the
Peel Board of Education and the Dufferin Peel Board of Education. She has been
an instructor for Sheridan College and still remains on the advisory board for
the Small Animal Care pro am. She looks forward to helping you be the best that
you can be in the pet grooming industry!
To-date all of our students have found employment in either self-employment or
with other groomers, vet. clinics, pet stores and kennel operations etc.
"I look forward to meeting you!"
